Under 13 Cup Pike 1-1 Corbally (Pike won on Pens)
After what can only be described as one of the best games seen at this venue this season Pike advanced in the U 13 cup when beating Corbally on sudden death penalties. This was the third meeting of these sides this year and like the previous encounters was played in a sporting manner. There was little to choose between the sides in the first half with Pike maybe a little lucky to be ahead thanks to a fine Shane Walsh goal.Corbally got on level terms early in the second half and for the remainder of the game it was end to end stuff.Extra time failed to seperate the sides and so on to penalties. After 5 kicks each it was still deadlocked and it took until the 7th kick to put Pike through.A great win for Pike who will gain great confidence from this.
