Under 13 Pike 2-1 Roxboro
Pike Rovers overcame the challenge of Roxboro United after a very good game played in a sporting manner all through. The teams were very evenly matched and only a close range effort from Chloe Pearse seperated the sides at half time.Roxboro upped the tempo in the second half and had the Pike defence working overtime.Pikes resistance finally failed and Roxboro were level with 8 minutes remaining following a fantastic finish. To their credit Pike regrouped and with only minutes remaining Luke Kennedy scored with a great right footed shot giving the keeper no chance. The final few minutes were hectic with Roxboro searching for the equaliser but the home defence held firm and so reached this seasons cup final.Pike lined out as follows.R.Power,G.Mc Carthy,H.Power,A.Moran,T.Morey,J.Cusack,R.Doran,S.Walsh,L.Kennedy,C.Bartley,C.Pearse res.G.Bourke,S.Mc Carthy,W.Mc Carthy and R.O Brien.

Under 11 Pike 1-1 Newport
A large crowd witnessed a fasinating game of football between two evenly matched sides. This was in essence a cup final as the winners would be crowned champions. Both teams started nervously with both defences on top throughout the first half.Pike started the second half with a bit more urgency and deservedly went in front when Wesley O Sullivan headed home from a Shane Walsh corner.Pike got a couple of half chances to tie up the game but luck was not on their side. With only 5 minutes to go disaster struck when a harmless ball through the middle resulted in 2 Pike players leaving the ball to each other Newport got a toe to it and it was one all. Both sides had chances to win after this with Newport clearing of the line and then likewise Pike having to do the same.In the end a draw was probaly the fairest result.Pike lined out as follows Darren Griffin,Ronan Malone,Harry O Dell,Wesley O Sullivan,Nathan Quinlan,Daniel O Donoghue,Shane Walsh,Dylan Hanley,Amy Mc Cormack,Dylan Meehan and Daniel Leamy reserves,Cian Lynch,Daniel Kelly,Daniel Quinlivan and Craig O'Donnell.

With time almost up Fairview added a fourth to give them victory. Best for Pike Adam Lipper,Conor Roche,Jordan Corbett,Ben Kennedy and Cian O Halloran

Under 12 Geraldines 0-4 Pike
Pike finished off their season in fine style with a good win over a battling Geraldines side by 4 goals to nil.As they have done all season Pike played some lovely passing football and but for a good display from the home keeper could have been more than 1 goal up at half time.Luke Kennedy with a fine left footed finish put the Hoops in front. The second half saw Pike take control and another left footed finish from L.Kennedy had Pike in the comfort zone.A Shane Walsh penalty made it 3 nil and shortly before full time S.Walsh lobbed the keeper to make it 4 nil to the Hoops. After the game Paddy Murphy presented the Pike Rovers captain Conor Bartley with the league trophy amid great scenes of jubilations.A fantastic season for the under 12 team managed by John and Carol Walsh and a big thank you to the players for their efforts throughout the season.

Under 13 Cup Pike 1-1 Corbally (Pike won on Pens)
After what can only be described as one of the best games seen at this venue this season Pike advanced in the U 13 cup when beating Corbally on sudden death penalties. This was the third meeting of these sides this year and like the previous encounters was played in a sporting manner. There was little to choose between the sides in the first half with Pike maybe a little lucky to be ahead thanks to a fine Shane Walsh goal.Corbally got on level terms early in the second half and for the remainder of the game it was end to end stuff.Extra time failed to seperate the sides and so on to penalties. After 5 kicks each it was still deadlocked and it took until the 7th kick to put Pike through.A great win for Pike who will gain great confidence from this.

Under 12's win League Title

Under 12 Pike Rovers 3-0 Mungret/Regional
Pike entered this game knowing that a win would give them the league title. The occassion seemed to get to the hoops as they played second fiddle to a very energetic Mungret side. Gradually Pike came into the game and opened the scoring when Luke Kennedy arrived at the far post to convert after a great run and cross from Shane Walsh. Number 2 was not long in coming when once again S.Walsh was the provider and from his rasping drive Pike were two goals to the good. The second half was all out attacking from both sides with some excellent defending on both sides. With less than 10 minutes to play James Cusack was fouled in the area and from the resultant penalty S.Walsh scored his second and Pike's third to wrap up the league title.Congratulations to John and Carol Walsh on their managment and to the panel of players.
